Professor Andrew Lumsdaine is an Associate Director of the Digital Science Center and Director of the Open Systems Lab. Lumsdaine received his Ph.D. from MIT in 1992 and from 1992 through 2001, he was a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests include computational science and engineering, parallel and distributed computing, software engineering, generic programming, mathematical software, and numerical analysis. Professor Lumsdaine is a member of ACM, IEEE, and SIAM, as well as the MPI Forum, the BLAS technical forum and the ISO C++ standards committee. In 1995, he received the Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation.

Torsten Hoefler is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Open Systems Lab. His research interests are parallel and scientific computing, computer networks and HPC. He investigates collective operations and their interaction with applications and is a member of the MPI Forum. Sometimes he also looks into some computer security related things.

Jeremiah Willcock

Jeremiah Willcock

Jeremiah Willcock is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science department of Indiana University. His research interests include generic programming, active libraries, and high-performance computing. He is currently working on a prototype language with improved support for generic programming.

DongInn Kim takes care of all the OSL computing resources: 10 server machines and 23 Apple(G5) workstations. He is also working for OSCAR (Open Source Cluster Application Resources) and is one of the OSCAR core members. His interests include parallel computing and clustering computing.
