Eric A. Wernert, Ph.D.Sr. Manager and Sr. Scientist, Visualization Technologies and Futures Dr. Eric Wernert serves as an Associate Director of the Data to Insight Center and is Senior Manager and Scientist for Visualization Technologies and Futures for the Research Technologies Division of IU. Wernert is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Indiana University system in the area of advanced visualization, including setting university-wide strategy for visualization and strategic management of visualization facilities. Wernert has led visualization initiatives for the IU School of Medicine and has held leadership roles in the visualization components of funded research projects from the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation. Wernert holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Bellarmine College, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University.

Michael Boyles, M.S.Manager, UITS Advanced Visualization Lab Michael Boyles is the Manager of the Advanced Visualization Lab. Boyles is responsible for all activities of the Lab including facility operations and the management of several interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Boyles has also been very active in the organization’s mission of community engagement beyond the University, particularly K-12. Boyles has more than ten years professional experience in visualization support and holds B.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Margaret Dolinsky, M.F.A.Research Scientist and Associate Professor of Fine Arts Margaret Dolinsky, Associate Professor and Research Scientist creates interactive art for high-speed networks and collaborative art experiences for virtual environments such as the CAVE Automated Virtual Environment. Her art projections have been used in theater, opera, and experimental film. Her research focuses on how digital art provokes shifts in perception and enhances sensory awareness.
